Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) announced an agreement with FMAudit to facilitate deeper integration of FMAudit's technology to help control TABS' managed assets. The agreement also enables TABS to distribute the solutions to all Toshiba Business Solutions (TBS) locations and independent Toshiba dealers throughout the Americas.
TABS and FMAudit began their relationship in 2004, utilizing FMAudit's Identity Mapping Technology to quickly and accurately map asset data for seamless integration with Toshiba's Encompass Document Analysis Program. Encompass is a six sigma-based process for analyzing a company's document output fleet, resulting in a detailed, customized plan for improvement. In early 2006, FMAudit Onsite was integrated with Toshiba's Global Services Portal, an online tool designed to provide the company's end user customers with a customized Web portal to manage their fleet of office equipment, as well as obtain Toshiba support services.
"From device discovery, to deployment, to ongoing management, FMAudit's technology is a cornerstone within our Total Print Management strategy," said Bill Melo, vice president of National Accounts, Marketing and Operations for TABS. "It is highly efficient, consistent, cost effective, and has enhanced overall customer service with respect to TABS' asset management operations. Based on its successful track record helping to manage our direct customers, we are excited to deliver FMAudit solutions to all distribution partners throughout TABS'geographic reach."
"We share common business philosophies with Toshiba. One in particular, is the value of establishing a sound platform ¨C one that we have profitably migrated up the value chain along with the market ¨C from simple print assessment to comprehensive print management," affirmed Greg Allen, vice president of Operations and COO with FMAudit. "We look forward to helping TABS' dealer network achieve even greater success by adding more value to their existing ERP systems by employing the same bi-directional synchronization capabilities that already have been integrated into Toshiba's Global Services Portal."
